Powered by an all-new quad-core CPU and a RAM module expandable to 8GB (coming with 4GB by default), DS2015xs delivers over 1635.12 MB/s throughput.1 The extraordinary performance far outshines other NAS servers in its price range, and allows DS2015xs to deal with considerable amount of data processing requests from business’ critical services.
Built-in 10GbE SFP+ LAN ports and SATA III 6Gb/s support
DS2015xs is equipped with two built-in 10GbE SFP+ ports and two 1GbE RJ-45 ports, entitling productivity-minded SMBs to lightning fast network connection that used to be the privilege of costly enterprise-grade servers. Enabled by Link Aggregation support, the maximized bandwidth can effortlessly handle intensive multi-tasking, such as simultaneously running multiple applications in a virtualized environment. Coming with native SATA III 6Gb/s support, DS2015xs further ensures the optimum data process under heavy system loading.
High reliability with redundancy mechanisms
The four LAN ports with failover support and hot-swappable drives ensure continual service uptime should the drives need replacement or unexpected LAN failure occurs. In addition, DS2015xs’ CPU benefits from a passive cooling design to avoid dependency upon a dedicated processor cooling fan, thus mitigating any critical point of failure. As to its hard drive fans, when the system detects a failure, the built-in redundancy mechanism will spin up the functional fan to properly ventilate the system.
Robust scalability up to 200TB
DS2015xs easily scales up to 20 drives and can be expanded to a maximum 200TB raw capacity2 by using the DX1215 expansion unit. It securely connects to the Synology DX12153 with specially-designed expansion cable to ensure maximum throughput.
SSD cache technology
DS2015xs enables the combination of hard drives and SSD cache, boosting throughput efficiently while minimizing cost per gigabyte. With full SSD cache support, DS2015xs offers a significant reduction in I/O latency without crippling your budget.
